NSW: Fresh clue in Gonzales' murders
SYDNEY, Dec 20 AAP - Police hope a fresh lead may help solve the murder of a Sydney
family earlier this year.
New information suggests a green car may be linked to the murders of Teddy Gonzales,
46, his wife Loiva, 43, and daughter Clodine, 18.
Each were knifed to death and the throats of both women cut at their North Ryde home
in July this year.
The bodies were discovered by their 20-year-old son Seth.
A police spokesman said a "vital" witness had come forward and they now believed a
green Ford Festiva sedan may be linked to the crime.
"Investigators from Strike Force Tawas investigating the Gonzales murders ... returned
to the house last night to carry out further investigations (following) fresh information
from a vital witness," he told AAP.
The spokesman appealed to any members of the public who may have seen a similar vehicle
at the house or in the area of Collins Street, North Ryde on July 10 to contact police.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Gladesville Police
on 9879 9699.
