SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Tonight's YMCA First Night revelers can say goodbye to 2008 by setting their regrets on fire.
A 24-foot statue of a figure 8, made of wood and discarded Christmas trees, will be torched at 10 p.m. at Saratoga Spa State Park. Earlier in the day, visitors can tuck their written regrets inside the structure, said First Night organizer Maureen Duda.
The burning sculpture goes with this year's theme of "Fire and Ice." As for ice, the National Weather Service forecasts temperatures in the single digits tonight, according to its Web site.
The traditional fireworks at midnight will be set off in Congress Park. The public won't be allowed …
